When news flashed to the effect that Ramba appears in 'Kunguma pottu Kounder' draping her fully in sarees, she received many telephone calls. Many people pitied her over her plight. There were E - Mail messages too to this effect.

But Ramba has taken things in her stride. "How long can I act in glamorous roles?" She counters fervently" Don't think that I can't well. Once you see 'Kunguma Pottu Kounder' you will come to know about my histrionic capacities. I am acting in that film as a mother of a child. And I have done full justice to that character. With that film, my talents would come to be known widely".

Presently, Ramba has ten films to her credit. She has six films to boot about, viz Kesavan, Dost, Anandam, Thendralai Thoothu Vidu, Pattu Saththam Ketkundamma and Kunguma Pottu Kounder. Whereas she has a lone Telugu film, she has grabbed three films in Hindi. Really an amazing feat.

She is not over the hill. She has many more bombshells to throw on you. Ramba is not gone!

Following Harish Ragavendra's rendering of the song 'Nirpathuve nadappathuve' in the movie, 'Bharathi' opportunities are pouring in for the young songster. Many are the people who felicitate him.

Now Harish Ragavendra is busy with his playback singing for the films, 'Minnale', 'Vanchinathan', 'Kunguma Poltu Kounder', Dum dum dum, Kadhal Chadugudu and the ilk.

With a Single song, the lad has reached the summit of glory. He has won many accolades for his singular feat. And he is endowed with pleasant looks.

We drag him into conversation. "Why don't you try to act in films? You are very smart. You do possess the showbiz personality, after all"

Pat comes the reply from him. "But I am more serious and particular about music only. Opportunities to act came my way even while I had been an anchor - person. I would be satisfied, above all, if I would scale great heights as a singer. I would like to make my grade only as a singer".

This shows the humility of Harish Ragavendra.

In response to the request of our Internet readers I am giving below the short notes on Amisha Patel who is an unknown entity to the customers of Tamil Cinema.

* Amisha was born twety years ago, on June 9, 1979.

* She was initiated to Bharatnatyam at her age 5.

* And she made her stage appearance, 'Arangetram' debut when she was six years old. Her entry into the film world subsequently was in a song sequence.

* She was a gold-medal winner in Economics in her Degree Examination. She is a graduate from the Tufts University of the United States of America.

* On her return to India, she was modeling. She has appeared in the advertisements for Bajaj products, Fair and Lovely, Jai Lime, Lux, Cadburys etc.,

* In due course she took interest in acting in movies. When she broached the matter with her parents, they gave their consent albeit hesitatingly. She landed her first break through Rakesh Roshan, pairing with Hrithik Roshan in the film, 'Kahona Pyar Hai'. The movie turned out to be a super-duper hit.

* As of now, she has four Hindi films in her hand. Apart from them, she has a Tamil film and a Telugu one too to her credit.

* The films most liked by her 'Dilwale', 'Dil to pagal Hai', and 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'.

* Her favorite actor is Amir Khan

* Her favorite actress is Madurai Dixit.

Amisha talked in lighter vein as the described about her entry into the tinsel world. "It kindled verily a world war in our household when I expressed my desire to act in films, despite my acquiring a gold medal in proof of my proficiency in the pursuit of my education". She also springs us a surprise immediately as she tells, "Theo approval of/and the helps rendered by my father have helped me reach this height of fame"!

Her face glows in gladness when we ask her about the Tamil Film World. "Here, everyone is working efficiently. Punctuality is a virtue with them. All of them are time-conscious. They are unknown to lethargy. The Tamil film industry is very active and charged with exuberance and earnestness". She gives a certificate of merit to kollywood.
