While Delhi Ganesh played the role of a psychiatrist in 'Tenali',
he created many a ripple in the minds of the audiences. He narrated the
following as his experience in the film:
When K.S.Ravikumar
approached me first, at the instigation of Kamal I expressed my inability to act
in the films for want of call sheets, as I was lousy with my schedules in T.V.
serials. Then, Crazy Mohan came to impress upon me. I could not say, 'no' again.
Somehow I had to adjust with my call sheet problem in order to act in the film.
I have visited the lake at Ooty many times before but I didn't care to drench my
feet in its waters even once. But, for this picture, I had to jump into that
lake. It was extremely cold out there in the lake. It was extremely cold out
there in the lake. I rejected the suggestion of the director to make use of a
look-alike person's service instead of me. But in as much as I wanted to earn
the applause of the viewers I overcame the jitters about the spine-chilling,
teeth-chattering cold, and took a hearty plunge into the cold waters of the
lake.
"How come it is that you are getting continuous opportunities to act
alongside Kamal?"
"I don't enjoy any close friendship with him, to be frank with you yet, he
gives me opportunities persistently. Perhaps he has belief in my acting talents.
It is all a matter of mind. I have never demanded an amount with him by way of
remuneration, as his payments always exceed my expectations.
I never took any special effort or pain to do role in 'Tenali'. I was not tensed
at all. As Kamal
was nearby, my spirits were high, and I emoted with full involvement. Usually,
all actors would go by the number of films in which they take part. But Kamal
cares the least for quantity. He is quality-conscious. He wants to achieve new
things. He is after attainments. He wants to be a trendsetter. He wants to
achieve new records and break the already existing ones. Whatever he earns
through cinema, he invests it back into cinema itself. He will grin and bear the
losses. He never loses heart. Crying over spilt milk is not the name of his
game. In the whole of the Tamil film world, he is a tower of strength. He stands
firmly as a rock and with stands all onslaughts. He is an outstanding artist by
all standards".
He was in all praise for Kamal Hassan and he has not exaggerated anything even a
bit.
'Puratchikaran'
runs to rare reviews and the warm reception of the film-goers, despite the
opposition of religious people and the female audience. As these film rides on
the crest of success, producer Jayadevi and Director Velu
Prabhakaran are in cloud nine.
Velu Prabhakaran has already launched the preliminary works for his next film.
As 'Puratchikkaran' needed three year to take the final shape, he is in a hurry
to release his next picture positively on the next 'Deepavali' day. Yes, The
name of the film is 'Deepavali' and Now he is in touch with Kamal Hasan also. He
is hopeful of getting the super actors's call sheets as both of them are
atheists.
What made Vijayakanth
issue a statement against the producers of films?
The sole film at his hands, now, is 'Vanchinathan'.
The film has reached its final stages of production. The ban of film from
conducting pujas for his successive films as Kamal is doing nowadays.
But nothing deters him from launching his subsequent ventures. L.K. Sudhish,
whom he has already worked with, is tipped as the producer of his next film. The
director is damn new. His name is Tirupathisami. The name of the would be 'Narasimma'.
