'Palayaththu Amman' has brought many accolades to Meena. When we asked about her experience with that film, she spoke from the depths of her heart. Words flowed from her mouth, "I must confess that I am really lucky in having acted in the movie, "Palayaththu Amman". It is a great boon indeed. I am grateful Rama Narayanan on this score. It was he who encouraged taking up that role for I hesitated initially to act in the role of a goddess. Above all, it is a lifetime opportunity.

We shoot our next question. "Why do you go nowadays frequently to Hyderabad?"

And she answers instantly "It beckons, you know. My hands are full in Telugu Cinema. I am very busy there in Hyderabad. I am asking as the heroine in the films 'Maa Annaiya', the remake of 'Vanathai pola' in Telugu, 'Ammayi Kosam', 'Santoshi Matha', and 'Sri Manjunatha'. She was in a jubilant frame of mind as she speeded away in her ear.

The trends are like this. Leading actresses Simran and Meena are slowly moving away from Kollywood scene. As such, the glamorous girls from Mumbai may not have any difficulty in grabbing the opportunities in Tamil Cinema.

Kannukku Kannaga is to be released now belying all the pessimistic predictions that this film also would suffer the same fate as 'Snehithiye'. Originally, the movie was tipped as a Deepavali release. The next forecast was that it would be released on November 16. It was advertised likewise with newspapers too. But it could not be. The resistance of the Distributors is the reason for the further postponement?

Followin the previous of the film, many magazines gave an average report about the film. The movie did not attract any review. Hence the reluctance of the distributors, to buy the copies of the film at the price quoted by Producer Henry. There was confounding confusion over the distributors rights in respect of Madurai and Chengalpattu areas. After many rounds of negotiations covering various and varied aspects, now the stalemate is resolved. Moreover the payment delay to Murali could also be the cause of the delayed schedule.

Sathyaraj is at his mischievous best in 'Looti'. In addition to him, the film has Vivek and Vadivelu in its cast. They crack jokes after jokes throughout the film. The film on the whole provides fireworks of funfair.

An example: In one scene, they challenge each other as Rajini and Sathyaraj do in the film 'Mister Bharat'. One vies with the other to outwit each other. Each criticizes the other in the following lines:

Vadivelu:

Ea Madhurakkara Vivekku
Naan Mallathina Alekku....

Vivek:

Ea Madhurakkara Vadivelu
Nee Meenatchi koil Vavvalu....

The jocular attack and counter-attack by the leading comedians of the day would fire the fancy of the filmgoers, Director Sakthi Chidambaram believes.

As the lyrical lines are very catchy and attractive to the core, Vivek and Vadivelu have decided to sing the song themselves.
