It is a team of newcomers who have entered the Tamil film arena, to make a film titled 'Love Channel'. It is Jaivilas Production's first venture. Wielding the megaphone is R.N. Kumaresan. Having assisted director K.S. Ravikumar in many films, this is Kumaresan's debut directorial venture. And playing the lead is Eashwar, a software engineer from France. The love of acting has brought this computer engineer to Chennai and this is Eashwar's first film. Paired with him is Monisha. For regular film buffs Monisha may seem a familiar face. Though this is her first adult role, Monisha has acted in about 40 films as a child artiste. Her roles in films like 'Enn Asai Machan' and 'Indira', the Suhasini directed film, were well appreciated. Monisha plays her first heroine role here. Also in the cast are Rajiv, R. Sunderrajan, Damu, Rajesh Anand, V.S. Raghavan, Crane Manohar, Balaji, Sadhana and Anju Arvind in a crucial role.

It is a lavishly budgeted film, with most of the scenes being shot in locations at France and Germany, for part of the story takes place abroad. Since it is a love story, shot mostly in foreign locales, songs become an important ingredient in the film. Deva has composed some fine tunes for the film and they have been beautifully picturised abroad.

Director R.N. Kumaresan who writes the story-screenplay and directs the film says, "This is my first effort. The fate of this film will decide my future. Hence I'm sparing no effort to see that the film has all the ingredients that would attract audience of all types. The producer has been very co-operative too, sparing no expense to see that the scenes look rich". Cinematography is by Rajarajan, editing by Thanikachalam and sets designed by Manivarma.
