Why does a man learn to steal? How come? After learning the ropes at one point, he tries to forget his habit of stealing. What are the circumstances that force him to have a change of heart?

The story is woven around this thread. Prabhudeva sells cinema tickets in black. His sweetheart Roja and her mother are not aware of this fact. Many interesting incidents take place after they come to know about his shady trade taking us to the finality of the story.

The present-day films have totally avoided scenes in which long dialogues running to pages find place. But this film boasts of a court scene containing the delivery of a very long dialogue. Mohanji, the Director vouchsafes that the scene would be the highlight of the film.

Sitting by the side of Deva, Prabhu Deva has requested the Music Director to compose certain songs that would be especially suitable for him.

Three people are in charge of comedy: Vivek, Chinni Jayanth and Chaplin Balu.

Another attraction of the film is the song sequence for which Raju Sundaram and Kamal Kannan have danced together.
