This is another film the release of which was long awaited. It was touch and go. The film could not see the light of the day for unknown reasons. It was kept in abeyance for nearly two years. At last, now it is liberated.

The film has a Village as its base. Land ceiling is the central theme of the film. The opposition the brews between two brothers is the crux of the story. Prabhu is the hero. Both Napoleon and Alex are his enemies. How Prabhu copes with the injustices that take place all around him? How does his measure his strength with that of his adversaries? The story would provide answers to these questions? says Director Kalanjiyam.

Prabhu should deem this film as an important one for him. He has pinned his hopes very much on this film because he is in need of making his presence felt, here and now. It is very urgent, exigent necessity especially as his peers Vijayakanth, Sathyraj and the like are bringing out hits after hits. It is high time that Prabhu also had brought about a sure-fire hit from his side. Much depends for Prabhu on 'Mitta Mirasu', to put it in a nutshell.

"Roja has donned the role that was originally designed for Meena. If Meena sees the excellent performance of Roja, she would feel sorry for missing out to act in this film!". Kalanjiyam has these words of praise for Roja.

Aslam Mustafa has scored the music for the film. He is another hurricane that cropped up from the music ocean of A.R.Rehman. Thirty thousand cassettes were released to start with. Now the cassette sales have touched the One lakh mark.

Alex would present a different dimension as a villain. He appears in a unique get-up, quite different together. Shaven headed, he has adorned himself with black and red spots and dots. He has spent three hours to get himself made up, on a daily basis.

It is different film in certain respects. The film breathes the soft village breeze freely. It gives full vent to the feelings thoughts and sentiments of some people who live in a village.
