Sarathkumar and Pavithran are joining hands for the fifth time for this film.

Sarathkumar plays two roles, that of a father and a son. The elder Sarathkumar has sacrificial temperament. A mob murders him. This incident changes the course of the younger Sarathkumar's life.

Young Sarath who lives in a hillside alongside his grandmother, is a demeanor and in due course good traits make him the leader of the hill men. A feudal head (Pannayar) of the place grows envious over the reputation of Sarath. Therefore he places many stumbling blocks on the path of the youngster. To top it all, he shifts the responsibility of a murder also on Sarath's shoulders. The rest of the story explains how Sarath acquits himself from the accusation and how he saves the people of the hill from the clutches of the highhanded Pannayar.

As the story is set in the hillside as its backdrop, elephants would make their appearance on and off in this film. You can see the heads, tails and trucks of elephants now and then. There is a scene in the film in which Sarath would rescue an elephant that had fallen into a ditch.

Sarathkumar believes heartily that this film would make a high grade in the fashion of "Suriyan". (It is to be noted that a majority of films in which Sarath has acted in dual roles have become super hit).

Poonam of Mumbai and our own Sangavi are the heroines.

Asish Vidhyarthi of Mumbai is getting introduced as the Villain.

Ashok kumar is the cinematographer who has filmed the Ashoka forests that found place in this film.
