Following the heavy box-office collections of 'Palayathamman', many pictures are being made keeping it as a role model. Thali Katha Kaliamman is one such film.

According to the present trends, only a goddess has the power to bring in women viewers into a theatre. Therefore Thali Katha Kaliamman also toes in the line of Palayathamman and Pottu Amman.

Prabhu is a rich youth. In an unexpected moment he offers his help to Kausalya. By and by he starts loving her. He has to face many problems after accepting her as his life-partner. But Kaliamman comes to his resume at all times of need.

Director Soma Sundaram says: "The graphics of this film would fascinate all viewers. One may have seen different types of graphics before this. Yet the graphics scenes in this film would be quite unique. They would be closely associated with the storyline.

After a very long gap, Sirpi would score music in this film. It is almost a re-entry for him. One could see Pandiarajan in this film as a guest artiste.
