C. blushed when we asked him about his thalai Deepavali. For, this couple has
the rare 'distinction' of celebrating their thalai Deepavali with their baby.
Sundar had a different story to say. 'Men celebrate their thalai Diwali at their father-in-law's house. But my in-laws are in Punjab. I can't think of going to Punjab for this celebration,' he winked jocularly. We know that is not the only reason. That Kushboo comes from a Muslim family is nobody's secret.
'Thalai Deepavali revelry will be at my house. Silk sarees, crackers, Ganga snanam et al.'
We turned the steering wheel to Avanthika, their baby girl that Kushboo delivered recently. The proud father went gaga. "The child is born in the most auspicious time. Her date of birth adds up to 9 - the most favoured number. Her birth synchronises with offers for directing several movies. This Diwali is the happiest occasion in my life." he gushed.'
And we shot the most important and inevitable question. 'Will Kushboo continue to act?' Sundar C. gave the ready-made one-liner: 'That depends on her wish'.
