is my wife now and not to be seen as an actress any more," appealed Ajith.
Fixed eyes betraying a reminiscent mood, he continued. 'We loved each other and
married with our parents' consent. I had announced earlier that Shalini would
play a role only in my life and not in movies. It was a four-five months' wait
before we could get married. We waited that long so that she could complete her
commitments in movies and an entertainment programme overseas. I have asked her
to manage my office, which she does so gladly.'
Ajith takes failures calmly. His determination to correct past mistakes and to prove a success showed up when we asked him about the failure of Unnaik Kodu Ennaith Tharuven. 'All my attention is focussed only on acting these days.' He went on reflectively. 'Unnaik Kodu Ennaith Tharuven was a flop. Its failure kindled my determination to succeed. I am burning every ounce of my energy to reach where I want.'
'Kandu Konden Kandu Konden' was sub-titled in Hindi. There were a few opportunities to act in Hindi movies. But I plan to accept another movie only after completing the present assignments - Dheena and Citizen - successfully. I believe that each day which crowns my efforts with success is a Diwali. I always believe in hard work. May be that it is due to the fact that I was born on May 1st,' beamed Ajith.
'I will be working in my office on Diwali day. I will celebrate my thalai Diwali in my office.'
